In this post we’ll take a look at Broken Coast, a Tilray owned brand. We’ll cover their SKUs and where they list, do a price check against the benchmark average and then we’ll check their sales from several different perspectives.
SKU Count
In the first section we count the number of SKUs the brand lists and compare it to the average for all brands within the same time period, then we break down the count amongst the product types listed.
Store Coverage
Next we focus on store coverage.
First we count the number of stores listed across the entire timeline compared to the number of stores we track. Then we show those counts monthly and calculate the % difference between months. Finally we show the total store sums broken down by the province listed.
Price Points
Here we explore price for all product types the brand lists from two perspectives; per package and by the package unit.
First we show the average price across all package sizes listed and calculate the variance from the benchmark average for that product type. Next we present the unit price inside the same context, compared to the variance from the benchmark average for that product type.
Average Sales per Store
Next we check the sales we observe across the stores we track. First we measure sales across the entire timeline and show that value averaged by store. Secondly we show observed sales monthly, showing the percent difference month over month. Finally we break down sales by the product types listed by the brand.
Sales by Month
We continue looking at sum of observed sales in this section, where we break down observed sell-through and sales by product type, plotting those values monthly.
Relative Share of Sales
In the final section we look at share of sales within the brand’s offerings.
First we look at a breakdown of sales by SKU. SKU and sale information are given in each box, which are coloured by product type. Share of sales by product type is shown top right and we break down those figures in the pie charts below.
