This document tracks listings for Hash products from licensed stores in Canada. We look at the market from four perspectives; listing counts, content, unit price, and market share.

The category of hash consists of products made of mechanically separated resin filled trichome heads without the use of solvents.  More than one product type fits this description and we have separated out those product types based on the company’s description of the product.  As such we have provided a more granular view by separately considering the dominant product types, namely Hash, Kief, Dry Sift, and Bubble Hash.

Listing Counts

This section explores listing counts relatively and over time. Current store counts and date range are shown under the title.

Counts for each type of Hash are shown relatively via the pie graph. Below in blue and orange, we count the brands and SKUs in the market both cumulatively and over time respectively.

Cannabinoid Content

On the left side we give the static average of sum cannabinoid content (THC + CBD) across all SKUs.

On the right we’ve counted all SKUs according to their cannabinoid content, placing them in 100mg buckets.

Unit Prices

The next section looks at unit price for all sub-types. All units are shown in grams.

On left side we show the static average for all types of Hash in grams.

At the right side we show a histogram of hash SKU counts binned into $5 increments of unit price.

In the section below we keep the focus on unit price, but we shift to look at how the average unit price changed over time.

Finally we show the variance from the static average for each brand with a Hash product.

Market Share

In the final section, we look at the SKUs making it into the top 5 sellers each month.

A line graph of market share for the top 5 is shown on the left (hover/tap lines for more information). On the right we list each SKU making it into the top 5 and their ranking for that month.
